What is the first food you could remember when I mentioned Kajang? For me, it sure is satay. Among the satay stations in Malaysia, I think that none of them has the taste as Satay Kajang has. However, it is difficult for us to go to Kajang during this period. Luckily, there’s some outlet in Klang Valley!
According to the picture shown, this is the Sate Kajang Hj Samuri in Elmina. It is with the resting stop so that there will be a lot of people having a meal over there before the virus attack. Although they are only one of the branches in Klang Valley, the taste of the satay and sauce are just the same as in Kajang. This is a good thing for us who live in Klang Valley, then we don’t have to travel far to Kajang to have a delicious satay.
As I mentioned before, this satay station opened in a resting station on the highway to Elmina. This not only attracts passerby, it also successfully attracts people from Denai Alam and residences in Elmina Garden. As we know, now is still in a dangerous situation, many of them still don’t dare to eat outside, some restaurants also didn’t dare to open for dine-in because they know it is hard to bear the responsibility if something happens. Although Sate Kajang Hj Samuri did good protection in their shop, I still persevered in taking away, not letting the crisis take the opportunity to harm our family and ourselves. Although during the MCO period, the business of Satay Kajang Hj Samuri is still maintaining like before, just that we need to wait for a longer time when queuing up to order. I used half-an-hour to buy the satay, but it is worth it.
What do you think is the best to eat with satay? Personally, I think that the sauce is the most important. If the sauce is not good, it will also change the taste of the satay. The Satay sauce in Sate Kajang Hj Samuri tastes a little bit spicy, it just tastes so good with the satay. It really makes me unable to control myself and keep eating it. Not only this, I also love to eat the Ketupat that will always come together with the satay. But because of some reason, we didn’t buy the Ketupat and used Lemang to take over it. The Lemang is made of sticky rice, it tastes a bit sweet without knowing the reason, and some bamboo smells on it. It already tastes good without adding any sauces, but if you add on the Hj Samuri satay sauces, it tastes different but really good.
Back to the satay, actually I bought two types of satay, one is chicken satay and another one is mutton satay. Honestly, I have two of them and they are special but I like chicken more. Chicken satay is as usual, nice and perfect. Mutton satay is rougher.
Last but not least, if you are also a satay lover in Klang Valley, you should come over and try this, sure that you will like it!
